Andrew started his musical career as a boy chorister some 20 years ago and from there grew an undying love for music, first studying the piano, and then the organ. Over the years he has had a varied career in music including travelling the high seas for four years as Musical Director aboard P & O.

Since 2003 Andrew has been a freelance musician and teacher. In this time he has been Musical Director for Copacabana, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Little Shop of Horrors, High and Wide, Screamline, Burdi Boys, The Magic of the Musicals, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Babes in the Woods, and has worked on the tour of Joseph and Beauty and the Beast. During this time he founded and directed the Stoke on Trent choir Canzonetta and the Orchestra Coda whilst also holding the post of Director of Music at St Andrews Porthill.

In September 2007, Andrew and his partner moved to Manchester in order to further his musical studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, where he now studies the organ with Jeffery Makinson. Whilst at the College he has taken part in master classes with Jeremy Fillsel, Kevin Bowyer and Thomas Trotter.

Since moving to Manchester Andrew has had the privilege of holding the post of Director of Music at St Paul’s, Withington, giving him the opportunity to conduct the choir for performances of major works including Messiah by Handel and Creation by Haydn. In December 2009 St Paul’s Choir performed a Christmas Concert for Derian House Children’s Hospice to an audience of over 1,000 in Blackburn Cathedral.

Andrew now hopes to develop his career further as a Choral Director and Organist.
