Saturday Coffee is in full swing once again, and the tables fill quickly, the bring and buy stall is busy, and the chatter in the room is significant!

The team look forward to seeing you as often as you can; on offer are coffee, biscuits, toasted teacake, stall with a good stock of items as well books to browse. Our selection of large 1000-piece jigsaws might include one that takes your fancy, so come and have a look! Whether it be for when dark nights are upon us, or else something to take away with us whilst on holiday, having a jigsaw on the go is something many of us find relaxing, challenging, and fun.

The Church Bookstall is also readily available, and the Traidcraft cupboard has a range of goods to tempt you. Every Saturday - 10.00a.m. through to mid-day. Saturday Coffee will be on offer. Saturday Coffee started many years ago now, as a means of providing an opportunity for the busy church of the time to meet for Coffee, sit and have a chat, find a seat if you could (it was generally packed out!), and buy from a stall which always had on it jars of marmalade made by Edith Swinglehurst, wife of our then Minister, Rev. Peter Swinglehurst. The place buzzed. Bernard and Irene Kirkbride were the main organisers and they worked extremely hard to ensure Saturday Coffee generated good income for the church, and so it did. Over the years the team has changed, the marmalade makers came and went, the ‘clientele’ lessened little by little as time went by, but Saturday Coffee remains one of the great areas of outreach into the community. Seeking to generate good income for the church also continues........Well done everyone - Team and Customers alike!

But we have a new dimension to our Coffee. On the 1st Saturday of the month. alongside the Coffee Morning, there is, in addition, a Coffee Concert. All very informal - you can continue to sit and enjoy your coffee, or take your drink into the church and enjoy the Concert........the choice is yours. No charge for the Concert, but if you would like to give a donation that would be welcome. The young people who provide wonderful music for us to listen to are from the Royal Northern College of Music and are each under the tutilige of Murray McLachlan.

If you would like to come on any Saturday morning but would find it difficult to get to Coffee, then we can arrange transport, so don't hesitate to call 01625 582997 or 586713.
