#Wave of Hope

Our  #Wave of Hope Poster was an amalgum of hands cut out and decorated by members and friends of the Methodist Church in Alderley Edge, put together as a statement for the World Leaders meeting in Carbis Bay,  over the weekend of 11th-13th June. The Bay is a wonderful part of Cornwall, as many will know from holidays spent on the amazing beaches, splashing in the waves, or riding the surf, and what a glorious situation in which to have held such an important Summit.

The collage of hands depicted the waves rolling onto the sands - doesn't it look fabulous? But it had a serious message for everyone to note, and for the Leaders of the richest nations of the World to discuss, debate, and, hopefully, to have taken action on if they paid heed to the calls from people across our nation and beyond for a healthier, fairer, greener, natural world, a more just world,  an end to racism, and that Covid vaccinations should be available for all.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, and especial thanks to our marvellous 'carpenter', Ken, who made the backing  for the collage, and to our 'gifted interior designer' , Sue, who,  once again, used her creative talent to design this brilliant piece of artwork.

Well done everyone!
